About me

Currently I am working as a Laboratory Manager at the IST Austria. Prior to that I have been on maternity leave. Before that, I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Biology at the University of St Andrews, UK in the group of Prof. Garry Taylor. I have been working on the development of a therapeutic for influenza virus infections using multivalent proteins (biologics). Within this project I was responsible for performing the in vitro experiments using our candidate biologics and different influenza viruses. Different treatment and infection schemes along with toxicity tests allowed us to narrow down the number of promising biologics which were subsequently tested in in vivo experiments. Prior to this I have been working with Prof. Richard M. Elliott, also at the University of St Andrews, UK, on my PhD on Influenza A viruses following my Masters project with Prof. Dr. Axel Brakhage at the Hans-Knöll-Institut in Jena, Germany.
